Boxing Day Hijinx!

Image
Dec. 26  Fulton Bar and Grill, Fulton, TX.  Cocktail napkins and ballpoint. 2 x Scribbles. These 2 by Graffo. This is a combined, beer stained nappie by Graffo and Scribbles.  No one pays any attention to us while we are drawing in a bar, it's that kind of place.  Nice.

My First Inkjob

Image
This is my original splash page for "Bunny Love" which I decided not to use.  This is the first time I've used a brush to ink something.  As I relearn to draw, inconsistency will be a problem.  I felt that this picture gave the story away, and I hoped people would think it was porn.  I am going to ink the rest of this story.

Soon To Die

Image
Radio problems plague tacticians.  This will be a real problem today as Major Lisenfeldt has all his command recievers tuned to the wrong frequency.  This platoon commander is trying to call in fire and he needs it now.  Alas, mon ami, it is not to happen.

Barewolf

Image
I was always bothered by werewolves and the Hulk having pants on.  It just don't work that way.

Last Were for Now

Image
Time to move on with the Werewolves. Coming this weekend, sequential art drawn just for this site.

Two for Tuesday

Image
This paratrooper is throwing a defensive grenade from strong point Wieme.  The situation there was as bad a position as a western army has ever occupied. My weres are great strapping fellows. They are also wildly dangerous and should be killed on sight.  Good luck with that.

Soldier

An action sketch.

Head

A quick sketch.

Splash Panel, Operation Castor

Image
0300. The 6th BPC stands by to deal with some annoying anti-aircraft emplacements.  Blood is going to flow.  (by the by, the Viet-Minh are all drawn as beavers.)

Bigeard and Langlais

Image
Major Bigeard and Lt. Col. Langlais discuss taking orders from each other, H.Q. DienBienPhu, 1954.

A Legionaire

Image
This is a private of the Foreign Legion.  He stands in anticipation of the coming counterattack on Strongpoint Elaine.  This is one tough kitty.

Showdown

Image
General Lepus is backed by the bulk of the army.  Although young, he is a winner and seen as more dynamic than the King.  While the King is backed by the aristocracy, the young bucks are tired of policies seen as overly conciliatory.

The Losing Gladiator

Image
This is a sketch of determined but unfortunate aging gladiator.  He is wearing an armored subcingalicum and carries a 3rd century cavalry shield. A late night concept sketch of the able, charismatic, and ultimately disloyal vassal of the elderly King Lupus.
