Of everything I have posted on this site Star Trek was off limits.  This Sir John Tenniel White Rabbit is from Season 1, episode 15 of Star Trek, Shore Leave.  It was written by Theodore Sturgeon and is an example of why the original series was so cutting edge and intelligent.  The Enterprise crew has landed on a planetary amusement park where fantasies and dreams materialize, which they do not realize at first, of course, this would make for dull TV.  The episode aired December 29, 1966.  Oddly, as much as I love sci/fi I still have not seen all the original shows, Star Trek was too much like a Howard Johnson's conference room with oddly dressed attendees in suede go-go boots facing your direction no matter which door used for entry, all the while with multi-colored spherical flat-cats falling out of the air conditioning ducts and mop closets. NU POGODI! Nu, Pogodi! - Just You Wait!  debuted in 1969.  Soyuzmultifilm.  Zayats (Hare) and Volk (Wolf).  Zayats is an androgynous male lagomorph and the Wolf is the Russian idea of a scheming layabout.   Note the bell bottoms.  He also smokes and plays guitar.  He is a kind of Wile E. Coyote always trying to catch Zayats and failing.  His catchphrase is 'Nu, Zayats!... Nu Pogodi'!  (Well, bunny!... Well just you wait)!  Prounced Pah - ghetti, stress on the first syllable. A pride of bunnies are working on a redwood deck in order to bring it up to insurance requirements.  Three of these rabbits have no idea what they are doing, so there is much banging of nails and goofing off.  Billy, center, does know something about carpentry, you could not live in some of the hutches he has and not know how to fix things.  As usual, rabbits are having the time of their lives when they get together and are as busy as can be, although not at repairing the deck.  It is now late afternoon and none of these guys can legally operate a vehicle.  Even Billy, the marginally more responsible bunny, is starting to worry that the clothing he is wearing makes him look rustic and dull, and that his friends are making huge inroads into his stash without him.  Billy, it should be noted, is using paint and power tools while wearing his prized Sandro Moscoloni cream and tan saddle shoes, he may work hard but that is no reason not to look phenomenal ...
