Sgt Billy D Bastian and the Green Agenda Hypocrisy

Freedom and saving the Environment from climate change..hmmm...I was walking by a vast piece of open land that's now under development. A once natural countryside, teaming with all the biodiversity my eye's used to fervently admire - wildlife, mighty healthy Trees, all types of wildflowers. flora and fauna, insects, it must've been that way since time began know doubt, well i'm no geographer but anyways, as I approached a giant Sign on the perimeter of this development site, it stated, ''We are pleased to inform the local area that 20 green energy Homes are being constructed to help save the Environment''...I actually started laughing at the Hypocrisy this sign was promoting. the countryside was gone..raised to the ground... I thought to myself, '' They have to now destroy the environment to save it?'' kind of says it all really, we create the crisis, and then Shout, Climate Change !, we need to go green ! we can’t save the climate by de...

The Black Rabbit Is Never Far From Us

Image
"The wind is blowing, blowing over the grass. It shakes the willow catkins; the leaves shine silver. Where are you going, wind? Far, far away Over the hills, over the edge of the world. Take me with you, wind, high over the sky. I will go with you, I will be rabbit-of-the-wind, Into the sky, the feathery sky and the rabbit. The stream is running, running over the gravel, Through the brooklime, the kingcups, the blue and gold of spring. Where are you going, stream? Far, far away Beyond the heather, sliding away all night. Take me with you, stream, away in the starlight. I will go with you, I will be rabbit-of-the-stream, Down through the water, the green water and the rabbit. In autumn the leaves come blowing, yellow and brown. They rustle in the ditches, they tug and hang on the hedge. Where are you going, leaves? Far, far away Into the earth we go, with the rain and the berries. Take me, leaves, O take me on your dark journey. I will go with you, I will be rabbit-of-the-leaves, I...

The Hunt

What a find for the day!  Billy drove into Corpus Christi and has been doing the thrift stores and antique places.  It's really nice out, so this rabbit has been making the most of it.  Here he has just found more jewelry that he will put in the box under the bed and forget about.  The important thing is to not allow anyone else to buy this, that would not be playing the game.  And screw that cat, you snooze you loose.

The Peoples Of The Graft

No one knows where the virus came from.  It was a weaponized strain, and a state that poured much effort into such a thing would have had to have the resources needed, which limited the list of suspects, to, well, half the world.  What is known is that from the mid-east outward, countries began to fall silent.  Certain of the major powers had advanced BioWep facilities, and this is where the story of the Graft begins. The mortality rate was 100% to humans, with symptoms horrible to behold.  The worst thing is that it took so long to kill the victim.  Transmission was airborne, immediate and all encompassing.  All mammals were affected to some degree.  Civilization came to a halt, as the shivering, skinless victims entered the last stages of the sickness, unconsciousness punctuated by bursts of extreme terror.  Some communities were able to implement the Masada solution, but most were incapacitated by the scourge before any org...

End Of Another Chapter

I'm leaving this bird rescue center I live in by the beginning of February.   For most of my time here I have enjoyed the work, the responsibility, and the feeling of accomplishment when I do anything that helps a fellow creature.  But I am no longer needed, and have become redundant.  With an expert mechanic, carpenter, and painter here, all I do now is mow the yard and feed birds.  A new person will be in charge, and we are not compatible.  One factor is that I do not identify with birds the way all the others here do, I am strictly Order Mammalia as far as animal empathy goes.  Of course that does not mean living things, any living thing, does not matter but I don't get worked up with a sense of mission and purpose re. avians.  If it was up to me we would not take in seagulls, horrible creatures although beautiful.  All birds are the remnants of the dinosaurs and most of them have the disposition of the same.  I like Jerry the Goose, he's ...

Oh, dear.  Billy and Randy have run dry, no way they will be most intoxicated drunks in the contest.  But...wait!  Paulie Panda has bough a Silver Parachute for the two enthusiastic although parched contestants.  Now we got a horse race!

Happy New Year!

https://youtu.be/nFxjnUPRwx4 I needed to make a last minute run to the store, so I asked my rabbit Billy to greet our guests for the New Year's party.  What was I thinking?  What?
