Kurtzman
One of Harvey Kurtzman's harrowing war stories.
`
My uncle, Richard Glen Propes, was rear guard at the Twin Tunnels while the rest of Second Division ran for their lives. He was 82cnd Anti Aircraft Battalion, under the scratch command of the redoubtable Col. Freeman. Glen was a gunner on a M16 Quad Fifty Half Track. He killed hundreds of men, they fired those guns, .50's, until they went runaway. And it was no picnic for the Chicoms, in their tennis shoes and padded jackets and minus -30 temperature. Fahrenheit. Uncle Glen was the coolest guy ever.
This is by one of the greatest artist's like, ever! Harvey Kurtzman. Here is another, even colder story:
Big If! Harvey Kurtzman, 1952.
My God, but this man can draw!
It was not all this, but this is not bad.
Harvey Kurtzman, Oct. 3, 1924,- Feb. 21 1993. Godspeed, Sir.
Posted after watching Un Chien Andalou for the first time in my life.
