Redwall

I only like a couple of the Redwall books, and this is one of them.  The artwork in this is fantastic.

Redwall Abbey is a sanctuary and a mainstay of Mossflower Country.

Matthias is a mouse who dreams of adventure.

Perhaps the need for a warrior will arise.

"But the she-bear thus accosted rends the peasant tooth and nail...

...For the female of the species is more deadly than the male".

This rest of this excellent story can be found at the above address.

Redwall: The Grapic Novel by the late, lamented Brian Jacques.  Incredible art by Brett Blevins.

Published by Philomel, a division of Penguin Books, 2007.

Of course no anthro story of consequence lacks a wiseass rabbit!

  1. Neat. I am new to Redwall and has so far only come across the comic by mention. But I have watched some of the animated series, The scene with Mathias admiring the legend of Martin and the team vermin's aggressive driving and general abusive demeanor was in episode one of the first season. I have yet to read the original book. Thanks for the deep dive and exerps of the book, those give an impression of the style and pacing.
