Halloween 2020

Image
I let Billy go to a Halloween party, he went with of couple of his friends.  Billy went as Edward 'Monk' Eastman.  Billy has a tendency to completely merge with his current role he is playing.  But hey, how could this go wrong? Beyond belief.

Prelude

Image
It's been a great day, and these two have very much enjoyed their reunion.  But Paulie has a dark secret, and he is about to let his cherished rabbit friend in on it.  Billy has no memory of when or why he was committed to the horrors of the ENfantry, he was an orphan and the drug assisted surgery wiped all memories of life as a human.  Paulie, however, was an extremely tough Chicago gangster when he was given the choice between death and the almost certain death of transformation into one of the army's expendable battlefield resources.  He enjoyed being an enforcer and the money it brought him.  Normally someone like him would move up in the hierarchy but he was framed on the boss's orders for a murder he had nothing to do with, that of a little boy.  He was also a threat to the commission, this was a young man on the go.  The real murderer was the son of a very high ranking prominent politician at the apex of power....

Gene Bilbrew

Image
Not to put too fine a point on it, Gene Bilbrew was an artist who specialized in sexually oriented images.    " Whoa !  Hey Billy !  These are awesome !  I thought reading was boring , but this is different !" This does not appear to be about the Stonewall riot.  The depiction of an artist, is, however, dead on.   "You got that right !  Artists are messed-up !  What's with the paintbrush behind that guy's ear, anyway?"  This is a furry blog, after all.   "That gorilla looks like he just won the lottery !"    There is something wrong in this picture.  Can you guess what it is?   "Nope.  I can't see it .  The guy on the chair is makin' sure his drink doesn't get booted , so I think everything's cool! "    He often signed his work 'Eneg'.     "Hey Billy!  Guess what ?  'Eneg' is Gene , spelled backwards !  Pretty neat , huh?"     So much of his art in...

The Fighting 69th And 1/2!

Image
When I was a kid, this cartoon could be seen once a week on the Dallas after school cartoon shows.  2 days ago I decided to look for it, I could not remember the name or the studio.  This is Merrie Melodies, Warner Brothers, The Fighting 69 1/2th.  In it two armies of ants clash over a picnic. https://www.b98.tv/video/fighting-69-%C2%BDth/    When scouts discover the picnic a tussle ensues over an olive.  Of course you know, this means war. The Black Ants are more than up to the task, and are shown as superb fighters. This cartoon is a 'funny' version of trench warfare.  The only fight the U. S. Army was in between 1918 and 1941 was the Bonus Army disgrace, so this is what the animators knew and showed as warfare.  Here is the Black Army chemical corps. Here Douglas MacArthur and his Aide-de-Camp Dwight Eisenhower oversee the operation of clearing the desperately poor unarmed WWI veterans off of Anacostia Flats, July 28, 1932.  Major G...

WIP. Deal With It.

Image
The happy, loyal dog has found a valuable watch and is walking into town so he can give it to those who will know what to do with it. ( The dog is the point of the anti-human operation set into motion at last night's meeting of the Animal Resistance.  While the cops are praising him and telling him what a good dog he is the assault will begin on the radio station, the post office, and the municipal power plant. None shall be spared).   What a lovely day for a picnic down by the lake.  These three friends will cherish this outing for ever! ( Munch, the alien liaison with the slavers from Titan, monitors the activities of the intrepid dog and wise crane.  Clearly, their commitment to the cause is weak if they think that mud and vegetation holds excitement and beauty.  Soon the Earth will no longer stink of amino acids run riot, and those who do not hold the higher vision will be eliminated.  The sandwiches, however, were fantastic).   Mr. Ostrich and The...
