El Cejas

Arturo Macias, "El Cejas", known as one of México's greatest bullfighters, suffered a severe goring in 2019 that almost ended his career. After intense rehabilitation, he returned to the bullring in 2020.  In 2007 I did 10 paintings of bullfighters.  This is art, not an endorsement of bullfighting.

Four legs good

Two legs bad

Six legs happy

Eight legs sad

Four legs love

Two legs hate

Eight legs wait

Four legs hunt

Two legs kill

Six legs busy

Eight legs still

Four legs hungry

Two legs full

Six legs pushing

Eight legs pull

Four legs loyal

Two legs vain

Six legs resting

Eight legs strain

Four legs good

Two legs bad

Six legs peaceful

Eight legs mad

atzlanwayne is very prolific with a wide range of style.  He is most intelligent and well read, always a delight to talk with.  He lives in Mexico City, and much of his work is informed by the life around him.  This is a tiny selection of some of his creations, he works on paper and in 3-D and writes poetry, you gotta be fast to keep up with this hombre!  Here is his deviantart account -

This is my 5th post on the work of this wide ranging talent, and a big shout out to him for allowing me to use his art on what is, after all, a self centered I Love Me blog for an unstable degenerate homicidal talking rabbit.
