Bad 'Roos
Warriors of Virtue. This is an armored kangaroo. You don't need to know the plot.
These are more armored kangaroos -
Yee,
the Warrior of Metal and Virtue of Righteousness, Yun, the Warrior of
Water and Virtue of Benevolence, Lai, the Warrior of Wood and Virtue of
Order, Chi, the Warrior of Fire and Virtue of Wisdom, Tsun, the Warrior
of Earth and Virtue of Loyalty. That's Doug Jones as Yee, known for his
anthropomorphic roles.
Abe Sapien, Hellboy.
Jones, on right, and yes, he's supposed to be a kangaroo.
The Shape of Water. Anyway, more 'roo movies:
Matilda, 1978. The kangaroo is on the left.
I
have never seen Matilda, and for good reason. It was yanked right
after it's release, it was a notorious stink bomb. The kangaroo suit
cost 30,000 bucks, and the ears don't even move.
Elliot Gould said "Al Ruddy wanted to buy back my position, my points in the
picture, he offered me hundreds of thousands of dollars, which at that
point I decided would be bad karma. That was bad judgment on my part.”
"Nobody behind the scenes seems to have put any heart and passion in the production, and it's no wonder the actors are dragged down with it. Gould (who further killed his career with this movie) does put in some effort despite the fact you can see in his eyes that he knows he's in a stinker, but his broad performance ends up adding to the feeling the movie is mocking the viewer". (IMDB).
The slavering naked rat in the middle is the star of the film.
Gary Morgan, the man in the Matilda fursuit, also played Cujo the St. Bernard.
I'm in awe.
I'm in awe.
The Boxing Kangaroo, German. 1895.
https://youtu.be/K1HCPLtVdcY For shame.
Tank Girl.
Booga, the comic version. Tank Girl.
Booga, movie version. Jeff Kober does the honors.
The Rippers, killer kangaroo commandos. This movie made 6 million dollars against 25 million in production costs.
Serves them right.
Serves them right.
Booga is one of the most slandered of comic book characters.
Gwendolyn E. Bardwell Carew, aka Wendy the Kangaroo.
Our
own Andibi shows the way with depicting 'roos as the highly peaceful,
intelligent, and good looking creatures they are. He gave me the idea
for this post so he gets dragged into it.
Notice the name Frankie Sardo. His hit song was 'Fake Out', the poster has it wrong. Buddy, J. P. Richardson and Richie Valens had only hours to live when this concert started. Frank Sardo, aka Frank Avianca was one of the mobsters in Matilda.
Frank (Avianca) as Hood #2 on right. Ain't that something? Goddamn right it is!
