Intrusion

Image
Lord, but I have been in a slump lately.  I got tired of this as it is the same thing I draw over and over.  But I usually  make myself finish what I start, not an easy thing for me.  This is the hummingbird that guards the feeder against all comers, including me.  He is a mean little bastard.

Standing Room Only

The phenomenon that is One Freak Leaves is here for tonight only.  Get your tickets now, they're going fast!  Thousands Of Dead Chipmunks has just returned from their smash whirlwind Asian tour, and Diaper Warrior has made bail and should be there more or less on time, bondsmen permitting.  Here's what the critics are saying: 'One of the two or three bands...' The Chicago Sun Times 'Beyond belief'.  The Christian Science Monitor 'Fascinating'. Siezure - The European Journal of Epilepsy 'I told you so'. Oswald Spengler. ' Merciful Jesus '. Rolling Stone (The Beehive is not responsible for hearing loss, airborne viruses, outraged Republicans or the rabbit's behavior on stage).  'Bee' there or be square! There Shall Come Soft Rains

In the living room the voice-clock sang, Tick-tock, seven o'clock, time to get up, time to get up, seven o'clock! as if it were afraid that nobody would. The morning house lay empty. The clock ticked on, repeating and repeating its sounds into the emptiness. Seven-nine, breakfast time, seven-nine! In the kitchen the breakfast stove gave a hissing sigh and ejected from its warm interior eight pieces of perfectly browned toast, eight eggs sunnyside up, sixteen slices of bacon, two coffees, and two cool glasses of milk. "Today is August 4, 2026," said a second voice from the kitchen ceiling, "in the city of Allendale, California." It repeated the date three times for memory's sake. "Today is Mr. Featherstone's birthday. Today is the anniversary of Tilita's marriage. Insurance is payable, as are the water, gas, and light bills." Somewhere in the walls, relays clicked, memory tapes glided under electric eyes. Eight-one, tick-tock, eight-...

Animal Tunes #6, Bell Comics. Why this woman is wearing a rabbit head I have no idea. Today's secret word is ' miscegenation '. Willie the Wolf.  You will never be able to hear this song again without thinking of this 'comic'. https://youtu.be/SZbVMG0riPA     LBGTQ - W     This comic is so obscure I can't find anything about it on the web, except that the one site I found that mentioned it wants 65 bucks for it.  I got this off of Stupid Comics, a really good compendium of, well, stupid comics.     https://misterkitty.net/extras/stupidcovers/index.html     They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. I Thought I Was Being Original, I Really Did

By Billy D Bunny - July 21, 2022 A while back I got tired of the name Billy Scribbles, which I used to add some personality to the appellation Mister Scribbles.  I took the name Mister Scribbles because it was the first vaguely pencil sketch name Blogger would let me have.  Now I find out the the name I prefer using, Billy D Bunny, inspired by the impotent general in Dr. Strangelove, has been used in one form or the other for quite some time. Billy Bunny, 1954.     https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=76260      1921.  What the fuck is going on here?  That's a mouse.  I think we are seeing a criminal conspiracy! June, 1954.  Thus Ajax Farrell comics celebrates the fall of Dien Bien Phu.  This would be the General Navarre in action. Oh, and Farrell Comics was the first to publish Steve Ditko. This incredibly angst ridden cover is from 1919.  I think this Billy is...
