Selling The Empire

Cartoon by Charles Slackman, from the Summer 1971 issue of Horizon magazine, which accompanied an outstanding article by Erich (Love Story) Segal, titled "the Night They Auctioned off the Roman Empire Comics".

The original had a paste up of Howard Hughes in the last panel.

For all you kiddies out there, Hughes was possibly the richest man in the world and was incredibly reclusive.
