Pretty Nice, Huh?

http://www.gladyspaulus.co.uk/gallery-2/ Gladys Paulus masks. When I dream of fursuits, this is what I am wishing for. Just the thing. Oh, to have money.  Then I could go to Furry Fiesta.  They'd be gaga at the gogo!   Of course my idea of a fursuit lends itself to difficulty.

Skip Williamson

Image
Skip Williamson August 19th, 1944  -  March 16th 2017 When I first started reading underground comics when I was 15 this guy was one of the first artists to wow me.  I originally read his stuff while sick with the flu Christmas, 1972. My mom gave me Les Daniels book Comix and that blew my young mind. This sort of thing did nothing to improve my grades. There was a lot of this. Snappy Sammy Smoot, portrayed by Carl Reiner on Laugh-In. All this does not mean I always agreed with him, to say the least. Skip and Jay Lynch.  Jay died on the 5th, 12 days ago. I loved Arcade, but I only have one or two left.  Fuck! Cover by Jay Lynch.  He also did the Garbage Pail kids, which is selling out with a vengeance! Goodbye, Mr. Williamson.  Another part of my youth dies. Another American Icon down.   At least Clint Eastwoo...

Jango And Jinjur

Image
This is Jango and Jinjur, respectively.  He is 15 and she is 16.  They are both rescue cats.  Jango is the sweetest cat ever.  4 years ago he watched as Phoebe was killed by the neighbor's pit bulls, and after that he hid all night out in the woods.    The significance of this is that when Kit Carson was accompanying the U. S. Army up to Fort Phil Kearney in 1866  he would go out at night and sleep away from the laager of soldiers.  They thought this was hilarious.  They should have been scared to death.  Had they been so 100 of them would have lived until 1867.  But back to Jango.  His lopped ear is the result of an infection that was bad even for a cat.  Jinjur showed up at the trailer park I lived at in 2001.  She was just a kitten.  At the time I had a no pets policy that had been in place since I was divorced.  I fed her, and a couple of days later I looked across the street and she ...

Mingo In Repose

Image
I gave my devil cat, Mingo, a bath and shampoo today.  He has been recently neutered and his cheeks have gone down about an inch on each side.  He is about seven.  I found him hanging by his back leg from a wire fence when I had my pasture.  How he squalled!  He has spent his life making trouble for the other cats.  When Stonewall was dying, I shut him up in my shed while I went to town for mineral oil, the idea being to dose Stony in one last attempt to save his life.  I was praying he would die while I was gone.  When I got back, I opened the shed and there was Stoney in convulsions, with Mingo sitting next to him and watching him.  Stonewall absolutely hated Mingo, and when I opened the shed Stoney hissed at Mingo and died.  If I had been half a minute later I would have missed this.  Mingo did not hate Stonewall and I thought he was very considerate as he watched him.  I am sorry Stoney did not have someone he loved ...

Here Is A Poster I Bought For 25 Cents Today

Image
With Mischa. Minus Mischa. I guess this is iconic.  I don't like this draft dodging spoiled little bastard. https://youtu.be/Xe60Oru9j-E https://youtu.be/Xe60Oru9j-E This poster is by the Verkerke company and is signed Alex or possibly Alexo.  I cannot find it in the company catalog or on google images.  I think this was a real score, surely I can locate the artist to give him/her credit.  But did find a cool site while looking for info- How appropriate, I take my second guitar lesson Monday.  I gave up on trying to learn on my own, I had fun, but I can not play. Photo by Paul Mansley.  The site is tinybunnywoman, check it out. http://tinybunnywoman.livejournal.com/?skip=225 Found him!  His name is Alex Rinesch and he was geboren in Wien 1955.  Seems to be pretty successful. Alex Rinesch. Gee, I like him already.
