One I Forgot About, Oddly Enough
This good sized drawing is dated 1983. But this shows a fluidity I never had back then, plus there are two proper nouns in Russian at the top left; I started taking the language in '84. I was not discharged until that year, and thought it would be useful to know how to ask things like "Is this the road to Sverdlovsk"? or, "Where have you hidden your potatoes"? This is c. '88 or so.
And yes, that right hand guy is straight out of the "Modoc" casting call.
'tother exposure.
I just now, 8:44 Central, have figured this out. The heavy lines are my work, the light pencil and some of the shading belongs to my brother. That means this was probably drawn in San Antonio while he was getting his degree at the Institute.
