Rassenfosse

Armand Rassenfosse, 1919

A Belgian c. 1862 - 1934,  Rassenfosse is now known for his illustrations for Baudelaire's Les Fleurs de Mal, in an edtion of 130 books.  He was a very technically adept printer, and, judging by the hilarious cartoon above, quite the artist.  He invented several techniques for printing, including a method for non-mirror image plate printing.
