Buna Beach, 1943

George Strock's photo that brought the war home to Americans.  Think about this the next time you hear of the ranking officer in our army selling out our country and telling the Chinese they need to prepare for war with us.  And there will be a next time, sooner than anyone realizes.
The original caption for this picture was 'Maggot beach'.

The Bells of Hell go ting-a-ling-a-ling,

For you but not for me.

And the little devils have a sing-a-ling-a-ling,

For you but not for me.

Oh death where is they sting-a-ling-a-ling,

Oh grave thy victory?

The Bells of Hell go ting-a-ling-a-ling,

For you but not for me.
