Judge Bun And A Case From The Furry File

Image
Mega-Hutch One is very law and order. With Judge Bun on the street, law abiding citizens can sleep secure in the knowledge that evil doers will be stopped in their tracks.  Since you are reading this furry blog, you are guilty of multiple violations of a very serious nature, and if I were you I would report to the Hall of Justice right away, and perhaps Judge Bun will take your cooperation into consideration. But don't count on it. https://misterscribbles.blogspot.com/2019/06/judge-bun.html The price of freedom is eternal vigilance! But wait, a Bonus!  I am now going to reveal what Judge Dredd's face looks like, this has only appeared one time in all of the 'prog's about this most interesting of fascist bastard cops. Chief Judge Eustace Fargo, 2001-2051.  Suicide. Behold the face of Dredd!  Both Joe Dredd and his twin Rico are clones of Judge Fargo.  The birthdate is probably wrong, but you try to figure out everything that goes on i...

Flamma would hate to kill such a worthy and handsome opponent.  The panda fought hard and deserves the missa.  Even if ordered to kill him, the Bloody Bunny is known for disobedience.  Not that refusal would help the bear, but the rabbit would have made his point.  Flamma is far too big a draw to kill or maim, part of the reason for his popularity.  The other reason is that he is the deadliest fighter in New Rome and, after all, the Wolf himself wants to see the bunny die in the arena.  Horribly, if at all possible! Furry killers have been around for a very long time.

Bitumen of Judea on Pewter exposed in a camera obscura.  Also known as Syrian asphalt, it hardens when exposed to light and the unexposed part is washed away with a solvent. Quid Pro Quo

Image
Perseus, I mean Billy, wants the location of the Golden Carrot.  The 3 Weird Sisters know where that is, and they ain't talking to a mere rabbit.  I misremember their names, so let me just grab some out of the hat,...hmm... Ah!  We'll call them Orddu, Orwen, and Orgoch.  The sisters have one eye and one tooth among them.  Billy snatched the eye, and if those gals want it back they need to talk, and talk fast.  Looks like this bunny will get what he wants today! Uh,...it seems like Billy may have forgotten about that one tooth...

Time For Some Mind Blowing

A bee, sputter coated in gold for use in a scanning electron microscope.  From Wiki- " Conductive coating – an ultrathin coating of electrically conducting material, deposited either by high vacuum evaporation or by low vacuum sputter coating of the sample. This is done to prevent the accumulation of static electric fields at the specimen due to the electron irradiation required during imaging. The coating materials include gold, gold/palladium, platinum, tungsten, graphite, etc". Water Bears

You're looking at the toughest animal on Earth. Tardigrades, slow walkers, have survived five mass extinctions. They live on moss and such, sucking the nutrients out of them with their toothed extendable snouts.  Oh, and some of them eat tardigrades. Cute is a matter of size. "Research has found that tardigrades can withstand environments as cold as minus 328 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 200 Celsius) or highs of more than 300 degrees F (148.9 C), according to Smithsonian magazine . They can also survive radiation, boiling liquids, massive amounts of pressure of up to six times the pressure of the deepest part of the ocean and even the vacuum of space without any protection. A 2008 study published in the journal Current Biology found that some species of tardigrade could survive 10 days at low Earth orbit while being exposed to a space vacuum and radiation". https://www.livescience.com/57985-tardigrade-facts.html O...

The Silky, Sulky Bunny Part Two

Image
Passersby will no doubt be impressed with the serenity and calm of this solitary rabbit, obviously at one with nature, just a guy out with his guitar enjoying such a beautiful day. However - What is really happening here is that Billy has been watching great porn all night, and is bitterly resentful of all the fun he has missed out on, much of it legal.  In addition he seems to have hurt his right arm somehow, rendering it useless for the time being.  Ouch!

A Scene At Rice U

Image
Is this before a meet?  If this is practice, why are these people here?  I see two hats on grown men, but otherwise I have no clue as to the year.  Men quit wearing snap brim hats after the Kennedy inauguration.  Who is this big guy in the baggy sweats?  Are those running shoes or the crepe variety?  The scoreboard behind him mentions quarters, what the clock represents I do not know unless it is some kind of timer.  The clock must read counter-clockwise judging by the placement of the numbers.  Widdershins, as the Scots say.  Why does the seated young man stare at us over the distance of so many years?  He does not seem to be involved in the athletics going on here, but why else is he here?  Notice that chain link fences have been made the same way for decades.  Who is this lady who would probably be fairly eye catching were it not for the shower curtain trousers she is wearing?  I am guessing that this is a trac...

Business With Pleasure!

Image
Once a year, Billy renews his contract.  After a simple formality,  these two friends will party down and catch up on current events.  For the last century or so, no one can figure out how this rabbit stays so sexy!  Halloween is the best time for these reunions, the stars are right and the energy fields are at their strongest for a materialization.  This will go on forever, or until Billy touches a Bible, whichever comes first.  But tonight, now that the ceremony is over and all terms met, it is time for some conviviality. Of course, Billy has to move to a new town in another state approximately every 20 years.  The neighbors can be so nosy! You should see the guy that took this picture.

Grand Central Station, January 1959

Waylon Jennings and Buddy Holly in a photo booth at Grand Central Station, NYC.  They stayed at Buddy's Washington Square apartment before taking a train to Chicago to start the Winter Dance Party tour. https://youtu.be/YwHrx0r0t2s   The last gig.  Frankie Sardo was a local NYC star, a Korean war veteran.  The tour organizers fucked up everything about this so they mis-printed the song as 'Take Out'. https://youtu.be/Z3WuEslyMWU

The New Dog

Image
This is my sister's new dog, Grace.  At least that is what she is called right now.  She got here Saturday, and a happier animal I have never seen.  My sister had her on trial but the second I saw her I made up my mind she was staying with us and no two ways about it.  She was a new dog at the shelter my sister volunteers at, and is just the bounciest, busiest thing imaginable.  She is half Catahoula and some sort of cattle dog.  Catahoulas are a hunting dog out of Louisiana, also known as leopard dogs.  Pure blood leopard dogs are much larger and have a more mastiff sort of face.  She is a fairly small dog, just perfect for my sister and her 6 cats.  She is delighted to have a family and my sister's oldest cat Emily has already started sleeping with her. Dogs are made for love and a better non-voting partner cannot be imagined. Photo by https://www.instagram.com/_livingdog/

Bad Bunnies

Image
Blue Bunny, from Ice Haven by Daniel Clowes.  I just love rabbits with bad attitudes! Daniel Clowes is great, although Ghost World did nothing for me. I sure want to be able to draw adorable, poorly behaved cartoon furries, without any hard work on my part, of course. It all starts with this guy, and dig those fuckin' threads!  Bugs is planning some payback. The alert reader will notice the artist's signature.  The greatest team up in animation ever!  Bugs is vibrant, vindictive, of questionable sexuality, vicious, Brooklyn born, morally bankrupt and immortal. He is one of today's bad bunnies.  (Vanity is a sin, and this is one very vain rabbit). Br'er Rabbit, trickster and icon of the South.  Bill Peet. Disney has some of the greatest cartoon artists ever brought together under one roof.  Shame about their shitty movies. Peter Rabbit, a mildly disobedient bunny who does not get it about M...
