Found Photos

Location unknown, c. 1940-1955.  Father and son, I would imagine.  The boy is standing tall, and he appears to be wearing the sort of uniform that I associate with gas station attendants or milkmen, although a milkman would be in white.  The pants do not fit him nor is it a military uniform judging from the tailoring.  It might Army suntans, in which case this kid is a colossal shitbird.   He is wearing a peaked hat pushed back on his head.  They are both standing at attention.  The older man looks like he could lift the back of that truck by himself.

Has '& Forrest Wood' written above the photo stamp on back,  large inkblot or stickum covering something that says 'to', probably where this was stuck in an album.  The one boy has a store bought scooter, and they are wearing good clothing.  No, they are both wearing hand me down overalls, the kid on the right has much wear in his, the other kid is wearing an older brother or his dad's hand me down that are four inches too long.  They are standing in front of a streetcar track.  I cannot tell what the kid has in his hand.  I wonder if this location could be found, the house directly behind them does not look like it would be around today.  You can see the photographer's shadow to the lower left.  Photography was cheap then, even in the depression people would make room for it, along with liquor and cigarettes.

I am going to guess and say the depression is still on.  Both these kids were in the war, although the guy on the left may have been killed shooting it out with the cops.  Remember, this is in
the Show Me state!

I think this is a camera!  What say you?
