Good Evening Ladies And Gentlemen And All The Ships At Sea!

Flash! Dateline, Pittsburgh. October 22, 1926.  Harry Greb, The Human Windmill, died tonight after an operation to correct his smashed nose.  Greb, the dirtiest fighter of the modern era, clocked in at 298 fights before his untimely death.

The only man ever to defeat, and I do mean defeat, Gene Tunney.  When they were supposed to shake hands at the beginning of the fight Greb punched Gene, hard, in the nose.  The fight went downhill from there, at least from Tunney's viewpoint.  Gene thrashed him four times after that.

Harry would bring two ladies into his dressing room before the fight and entertain both of them, sometimes with seconds to go.  So much for the theory of abstinence and athletic performance.

Mickey Walker, my Man!  The Toy Bulldog.  His fight with Greb is one of the best stories boxing has to offer.

"Boxing is not the noblest of arts and I am not it's noblest artist".  Blind in one eye from being thumbed, he admired the tactics of the guy, Kid Norfolk, that did it.

Hell, the doctors should have counted ten over him, he would have got up.
