The Cornered Prince
A little known incident from the Carn wars. A prince of the Royal Lapin house has been cornered by the Wolves, but he has been offered quarter if he will surrender. In response he guts the messenger. It is said that the place of the fight was known for years by the rabbit head on a pole.
But the killers were captured alive, and they lived to regret that. For awhile, anyway. The one survivor was returned to the Wolves minus eyes, arms, and genitalia. Best not to ask what happened to his comrades.
The rabbits had served notice of their intention to fight.
