Trog, The Fry Cook

Image
One from Robert Kinsey.  Certainly anthro if not furry, perfect for this site.  He has a lot more. http://www.robertkinsey-art.com/characters.html

Antoly Moskvin

Image
Antoly Yurevitch Moskin.   Respected academic, philologist specializing in Celtic languages, grave robber, whackjob.   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anatoly_Moskvin   This... human had twenty six mummified little girls, ages 3 to 15, scattered around his apartment.  He was a regular contributor to Necrologies, a weekly magazine concerning dead people, and, considering the name, not at all surprising a forum for this guy.  He did not smoke or drink, but lived with his parents.   Dead girl. Dead girl.  He would apply make-up and lipstick to the girls, throw birthday parties for them, and put music boxes inside their rib cages. Dead girl. Dead girl. Dead girl.  Judged as a paranoid schizophrenic,  he has been locked away.  High fucking time and all.  He went and dug up these children, mummified them and brought them home.  He used tape and other things to pad ou...

Last Night's Dream

Image
I stood on a precipice, and below it was the total abnegation of self.  Leap into giving up.  Art and music are not for you.  You are running out of time, why continue?  The moon in it's feline aspect approves of this action, he hates me.  I also misdrew him and that does not help.  Then Monster broke the rules and crossed the bridge and appeared in my hands.  No, he purred, keep trying.  I miss him so much, he stayed with me until I woke up a few seconds later.  The moon has always blamed me for Monster's murder, it happened on his watch.  I guess I will keep trying. For now. It sure was good to hold you again. You showed up one day in the pasture, skinny and demanding to be fed.  We has six years of love, and never a cross moment with each other.  When the time came that I had to make the call, I thought I would die of sorrow.  Disport with joy in your new fields, and then I shall come and we will cross...

Alone

Henry Darger. This is titled as Skies.  I doubt that is what the artist called it.   Henry Darger. One of his threatened children scene's.  His entire Vivian girl thing is so fucking weird.  Think of this tiny impoverished janitor going back to his room and just living to draw out his inner world.  What a mindblower.  Thank God that this stuff was not thrown out. What do you get when you cross a Pride parade with the Fourth of July? By Golly, there is just something er, ...different about this fellow! An aspect of Zeus-Amon. No one has any idea why he drew the girls this way.  This is certainly not innocent, but as he never bothered anyone these pictures have a magnetism about them that enables one to look at them without making moral judgements about the creator.  Except that he was all fucked up. I sure would like to read his book. I remembe...

Phenomenal

There have been many great drummers, like this guy- Gene Krupa. Buddy Rich. These guys. Bonham, John. Jim Gordon. Sandy Nelson. But you have never heard anything like this- https://youtu.be/iay8bQOpTK0 Art City Sound. Just one bunny's opinion, but a very good opinion.

The World As We Know It

Image
This is from Steve.  He is my brother.  His artwork is not exactly linear in thought. s_davisart on Instagram, if you would like to contact him yourself and tell him how confusing his work is, as he won't listen to a damn thing I tell him.  What does it mean?  gets me a blank stare, and his pity for my lack of vision.  After all, I draw talking rabbits.  This is a talking donkey, so deal with it.  He also sent me this today, and tells me he has no idea what it means- Philip Vincent.  "Lamentations of Germany".  Oh, I see.  Well, it seems that Mr. Vincent is English, but no one knows for sure anything about him.  The Lamentations is about the 30 years war, plenty of scope for some Extremely Interesting Reading here.  I have no idea what is going on in the above etching, but it don't look good.  Here is another from the Germany thing- You can see where he is going w...

Moonrabbit 2

I thought I had posted the original of this back when I first drew it but it seems it only went to FurAffinity.  This was one of my default Starbucks drawings, where I draw warrior bunnies the way I would like to look.  These pictures tend to be static so this one I tried to amp up with an angel of death drawing his wing over Flamma.  Silly and poorly drawn, I tried to cover it all with graphite.  No good.  When I originally drew this, the two guys next to me in the coffee shop got up to leave and one of them said "Hot"! to me about the drawing, but I did not respond because without absolute certainty someone is talking to me that is how I react.  I feel bad because it was a compliment and I should always thank someone for that.  And then I ruined the drawing.  Well, this is what is left.   I may take ink to it today, always a last resort for me. I posted the earlier version of this before I fucked it up with grap...

But I Trusted Talking Rabbits!

Whatever you guys do, don't throw me into that bar over there! This sure looks like the work of Bill Peet to me. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Peet Yes, it is. Bill Peet, Br'er  Rabbit, Song of the South.  This is one of the best artists I have ever seen.  Michaelangelo? Da Vinci? Chris Burden?  Not even on the list.  Where are their bunnies? Incredible. Br'er Rabbit meets the tarbaby, Song of the South. https://youtu.be/hiMw-8Ttu10 I cannot find a clip of this with the original audio in it, it has been narrated.  Either this is a Disney copyright thing, or just the vagaries of the net.  As usual, the art and animation are out of hand.  There is a part two that does have the original voices in it, but this is what I wanted to show. Thump thump, Neo. Deep, dark, inviting.  Calling Dr. Freud! But only the very best butter.  Wow, is this one fucked up...
