I drew this when I started this whole furry brouhaha.  This is Polyphemus being blinded by Odysseus,  who got him drunk and told him that his name was "no man".  Cyclops, then as now, are not very quick on the uptake.
My first book was The Giant Golden Book Of The Iliad And The Odyssey.  I still have it.

Tales From The Arabian Nights

 Sinbad and The Old Man of the Sea.   One of my favorite books ever, I was given this when I was a child.  I still have it, and it started a lifelong love for the artist, Gustav Tenggren.    Tenggren worked for Disney at one point in his life, notably Bambi and Pinocchio.  Is this awesome or what?    Aladdin.    Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.    Sinbad in the Valley of the Snakes.    Scheherazade.    The Serpent Queen.    The Serpent Queen.    Sinbad.    Morgan about to save her master.  Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.    I've never been the same after reading this.
